Abstract submission and Registration

Deadline for abstract submission: July 1, 2026
PhD students can apply for a waiver of the registration fee during abstract submission.

Registration:
Opens 1 June, 2026.
Outcome of Abstract submission: 1 August, 2026.
Closes 25 September, 2026.

The registration fee contains the costs for all coffee breaks, lunch and snacks, the use of conference facilities, the conference diner and the conference shuttle bus. Accommodation and travel should be booked independently.

Important Information

Invoice and receipt
While we do accommodate payments (bank transfer) via invoice in very special cases, we encourage the use of credit card payments for smoother processing. If possible, we kindly ask that you consider this option.

However, if you already registered, unfortunately we cannot issue invoices retroactively, only prior to the payment. We issue a receipt/confirmation of payment automatically after a successful registration.

Cancellation policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted via email events@ista.ac.at

Fees will be refunded according to the following policy:

  • 90% refund until August 26, 2026 (10% to account for administrative costs)
  • 50% refund until September 29, 2026
  • No refund from September 30, 2026

Organizers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.
